Suppressing this file is equivalent as using the program in its native form. Now the GUI comes up every time.It is true that the problem lies in the setting.xml file, which is stored ay every program use. I changed only one line in the C:\Users\MyUser\AppData\Roaming\Infrarecorder\Settings.xml file:ġ (I changed the '1' to '0', that's a zero) There are more settings after this, but I didn't bother changing them. You can tweak it all you like, but it seems to work as is.Ġ 0 0 0 0 0 0 <- Change this value from '1' to '0' I played around and found a workaround that seems to work every time. Instead of deleting the 'settings.xml' file, edit it! The same helped for the version of InfraRecorder installed with the installer, only difference is that the settings.xml file is located in C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\InfraRecorder.I thank you greatly, as expected it worked for me as well. Deleting that file allowed me to start InfraRecorder again.

I found a workaround though: After the first run, there is a filled called "settings.xml" in the InfraRecorder portable folder. So there seems to be some kind of problem with the settings. The same helped for the version of InfraRecorder installed with the installer, only difference is that the settings.xml file is located in C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\InfraRecorder. But afterwards InfraRecorder wouldn't start up a second time. The first time I started InfraRecorder it worked well and again I was able to burn a CD. So I tried the portable version as viale73 suggested and the same thing happened. Same thing happend as dnemls described, process was visible in the task manager but no windows was shown. After that and after I closed InfraRecorder, I wasn't able to start it up again. I installed InfraRecorder (64bit) on Win10 with the installer, and the first time I started it, it worked well and I was able to burn a CD.
